The kidnapping and murder of Lady Doctor Bakot was attributed to the negligence of Abbottabad Police, who failed to retrieve the body and call the Cantt police.
ABBOTTABAD: The alleged professional incompetence of local police authorities has caused uproar following the kidnapping and death of a female doctor from Abbottabad. Because of their devotion to humanity, doctors are referred to be “the saviours of the nation,” underscoring the seriousness of the loss.
The woman, a reputable doctor and mother of two, was reportedly abducted from Abbottabad Cantt. DSP Tahir Saleem, SHO Cantt, Sub-Inspector Zubair Tanoli, and PR Officer Azam Mir are among the police officers who have come under fire for allegedly contributing to the catastrophe by their lack of professionalism, apathy, and failure to employ contemporary technology.
The situation was apparently made worse by the public being misinformed about the kidnapping by the Abbottabad police public relations section and the relevant SDPO. In a city that is typically thought of as tranquil, the incident has caused dread among the local community, especially among women.
According to the details, the doctor was kidnapped by three accomplices and the wife of Waheed, the well-known owner of Kashmir Cloth. They allegedly brought her to the Bakot Police Station, gave her a narcotic sedative, and killed her by strangulation. Later, her body was disposed of in a woodland area close to Chimali in Bakot.
After locals called the police, Bakot authorities recovered the body and called Cantt police. The family will make funeral arrangements when the body is taken to the DHQ Hospital for a postmortem.
Doctors in Abbottabad’s government hospitals went on strike in protest of the kidnapping and murder. The terrible loss has caused the city to enter a state of mourning. The doctor who passed away was originally from the Attock district.
