The Game Awards 2025 Nominees. Clair Obscur, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Hades 2 are among the nominees for The Game Awards 2025. Donkey Kong Bananza, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and Death Stranding 2 are all vying for the Game of the Year award. We won’t have to wait long to discover which game will emulate the amazing Astro Bot triumph from the previous year. The Peacock Theater in Los Angeles will host the 2025 ceremony on December 11. The show will feature some actual awards in addition to a parade of video game announcements and trailers. The candidates for The Game Awards 2025 were revealed on Monday.

Additionally, half of these games have Indie Game Awards nominations for Game of the Year. Along with Absolum, Ball x Pit, and Blue Prince, three of these games—Clair Obscur, Hades II, and Hollow Knight: Silksong—are also competing for Best Independent Game at this presentation.
Not only is Clair Obscur the most nominated game this year, but it is also the most nominated game in the ceremony’s 12-year history, with a total of 12 nominations, including three in the Best Performance category. Hades II received seven nominations, Silksong received five, and Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yōtei both received eight. With 19 nominations, Sony Interactive Entertainment is the top publisher.
The Game Awards 2025 Nominees
A number of significant, well-known games were not nominated for the main prize. Arc Raiders, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Mario Kart World, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Elden Ring: Nightreign, Battlefield 6, Split Fiction, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Silent Hill did, however, gain nominations in other categories. The nomination of titles like Consume Me, Despelote, Rematch, and Dispatch this year is also intriguing. Marvel’s Deadpool VR, a video game that hasn’t even been launched yet, was also nominated.
On the TGA website, fans may already cast their votes for this year’s Game Awards. Ten percent of the final result is determined by public votes, with the remaining ninety percent being decided by a jury made up of numerous media outlets. On December 1, the Players’ Voice Award nominees—the only category chosen solely by fans—will be revealed.
The Game Awards, which are now under fire for how they handled the Future Class program that was discontinued, will be webcast for the first time on a number of platforms, including Prime Video.
