Giants vs Bears Week 10 Preview
Giants vs. Bears: A preview, prediction, and things to look out for in Week 10. Matchup of Marquees
The defensive end of the Bears Giants right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor versus Montez Sweat
Sweat played twice a season against the Giants during his more than four years with the Commanders.
Despite having 51 sacks in 100 games, he isn’t regarded as a great pass rusher. However, this season, he leads the Bears with four sacks, including a strip-sack against Spencer Rattler.
Eluemunor’s injured chest muscle kept him out of the game last week. He is categorized as questionable and practiced in a limited capacity this week.
In 333 pass-block snaps, he has only given up two sacks, according to Pro Football Focus.
Marcus Mbow, a rookie, will start again if he doesn’t play.
Four Crucial Points:
- Play Outside
Teams have come to the realization that they may achieve far greater success on the edges of the Giants than by trying to run through the middle.
Bobby Okereke, a linebacker, told The Post:
“Toss, toss-slash, toss-crack—all those perimeter runs from the ‘C’ gap toward the outside—are now being played by teams.” Determining how our defense strategy might prevent and counter it is a difficult task.
It hasn’t gone well thus far. The Giants allow 150 rushing yards per game, placing them 31st in the league for run defense.
With an average of 144.4 yards per game, the Bears are second in the NFL for rushing.
Kyle Monangai ran for 176 yards last week despite D’Andre Swift (groin) being doubtful.
Okereke continued:
“We must all improve our personal standards. Simply hitting a guy and remaining in your designated position is insufficient. Hitting him, shedding the block, and making the play should be the objectives.
Giants vs Bears Week 10 Preview

- Quick Start
The Giants have scored four touchdowns on their first drive in Jaxson Dart’s seven starts.
It’s obvious that whatever offensive coordinator Mike Kafka is writing for those initial drives is effective.
Kafka stated:
“The team has been playing with excellent tempo, energy, and communication early in games. All we have to do now is maintain that for the entire game.
- Ball Security
The Bears are the best team in the league in making turnovers.
With four each from linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and safety Kevin Byard, they have an NFL-high 13 interceptions.
Despite not being listed on the injury report, Byard has been suffering with back and ankle problems.
The Bears have the most takeaways in the NFL with 19, including six fumble recoveries.
Dart stated:
“We need to take great care of the football and be extremely cautious with it.”
The Giants, on the other hand, are in the center of the league with nine giveaways this season (six interceptions and three fumbles).
4️ Calm Down
In the 2024 draft, the Giants were looking for a quarterback, but they were unable to advance to the first round, when Caleb Williams was chosen by the Bears.
Jayden Daniels (No. 2) and Drake Maye (No. 3), two quarterbacks selected after Williams, have shown greater consistency thus far this season.
This will be Williams’ first game versus the Giants. He has thrown 12 touchdown passes and four interceptions.
Brian Daboll, head coach of the Giants, stated:
“He has exceptional arm skill. He can make some amazing, “wow” throws and toss the ball into small windows.
Paul’s Forecast
Can this game be won by the Giants? Indeed.
Will they? Most likely not, according to history.
Although the weather is predicted to be mixed and cold, Utah native Jaxson Dart, a rookie, is accustomed to playing in such cold temperatures.
